01 · Who we are

Sintaks is responsible for your data.

Sintaks is a digital product studio based in North Macedonia. For the personal data described in this notice, Sintaks acts as the data controller.

This policy applies to information received through sintaks.mk, the inquiry form, and direct messages or emails about working with us. It does not describe data processed inside a client product under a separate agreement.

02 · Information we collect

What you share, plus essential technical details.

Please do not include passwords, financial information, health information, or other sensitive personal data in the inquiry form.

03 · How we use data

To respond, prepare, operate, and protect.

We use personal data to:

• understand and respond to your question or project inquiry;
• discuss scope and take steps you request before a possible contract;
• continue relevant correspondence with you;
• operate, troubleshoot, and secure the website; and
• prevent spam, fraud, and automated abuse.

Depending on the situation, we rely on steps taken at your request before entering a contract, our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries and protecting the website, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not use inquiry details for newsletters or unrelated marketing.

04 · Service providers and transfers

A small number of providers help the website work.

Web3Forms

The inquiry form is submitted through Web3Forms, which processes the form fields and forwards them to our email. Web3Forms states that it does not store form submissions, although limited server logs may be retained temporarily. Its servers are located in the United States.

hCaptcha

We use hCaptcha, provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., to determine whether a form interaction meets our security requirements. It may evaluate technical and interaction information such as an IP address, time on the page, device or browser details, and pointer movements. We use it because we have a legitimate interest in protecting the site from spam and automated abuse.

Hosting and email

DigitalOcean hosts the website and may process limited request and security logs. Our email infrastructure processes the inquiry and subsequent correspondence so that we can reply.

These providers may process information outside North Macedonia or the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we rely on the provider’s contractual and legal transfer safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights, or to professional advisers who are bound by confidentiality.

05 · Retention

We do not keep inquiries indefinitely.

We normally retain an inquiry and related correspondence for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact. We may keep information longer when it becomes part of a client relationship, when the law requires it, or when it is reasonably needed to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

Technical and security logs are retained for shorter operational periods where practical. Service providers apply their own limited retention schedules to information they process for us.

06 · Cookies, links, and security

No advertising or analytics tracking.

Sintaks does not currently use website analytics, advertising cookies, behavioural advertising, newsletters, or user accounts. hCaptcha may use cookies or similar security technologies that are necessary to identify abusive or automated activity around the inquiry form.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee complete security, but access is limited to people and providers who need it for the purposes described here.

Links to external websites, including individual portfolios and provider policies, are governed by those websites’ own privacy practices.

07 · Your rights

You can ask what we hold and what we do with it.

Subject to applicable North Macedonian data-protection law and, where relevant, European data-protection law, you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we process your personal data and provide access to it;
• correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated information;
• delete information or restrict or stop certain processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests; or
• provide information you supplied in a portable format where applicable.

We may need enough information to verify your identity before acting on a request. You may also lodge a complaint with North Macedonia’s Personal Data Protection Agency.
